Below is a list of projects the members of Back the Badge Michigan have been involved in to support our law enforcement officers. 

Our next event is so huge we decided to put it on our front page.  We have teamed up with Back the Blue 5K, Warrior XII and NALES (National Alliance For Law Enforcement Support) to bring a community building event to Lansing Michigan centered around a 5K.  Save this date (September 23, 2017).  Run, Walk or just come out to have fun.  See ya there!

  • Buddy Bags donated to Eaton County Sheriffs Department.

  • Delivery of five K9 Trauma Kits to Lansing Police Department.

  • Euchre Fun Night was a huge success.  Thanks to everyone that attended

  • With the help of the K9 Defender Fund, Inc, The generous support of Meat Southern B.B.Q & Carnivore Cuisine of Lansing, Waldrop’s Auto Repair of Grand Ledge, Julia Woodling and all of the amazing people that attended the Wining for K9s fundraiser, we were able to provide Buddy Bags (Trauma Kits) to 5 of our K9 heroes.

 

  • Wine and Chocolate bus tour, called Wining for K9s, to raise money to provide safety equipment for our K9 heroes.
  • In coordination with Backing the Blue, an event called Backing the Blue Rally held at the state capitol to show the community’s appreciation for law enforcement officers.

  • Fundraiser to raise money for the Thin Blue Line of Michigan. The Thin Blue Line of Michigan is a non profit organization, which exists to provide assistance in the areas of financial, legal, benefit recovery, counseling, funeral stipends, college stipends, medical costs, medical equipment and other areas of hardship to the families of injured, personal illness, disabled or deceased members of the law enforcement community (active & retired), Firefighters, Dispatchers, Corrections, EMT, EMS and Administrative Clerks. 

 

 

  • Handing out Thank You cards to officers to show our support & appreciation. Ongoing

  • Encouraging citizens to display yard signs and window clings so that law enforcement officers know that they are supported by our communities.  Ongoing

 

  • In coordination with MI-C.O.P.S,  Pinning blue ribbons on guest attending a funeral of a fallen officer.

 

  • Providing meals to Michigan police departments to show our love and appreciation

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Movie night at a local theater to raise funds to help cover medical costs for an officer and his wife  injured in a car accident.
